Reduce Body Roll with Genuine Sway Bars

Have you ever considered the lifespan of your sway bars or when they might need replacement? Sway bars connect opposite sides of your suspension to reduce body lean during cornering maneuvers. These torsion springs twist to transfer weight between wheels and improve handling balance. We provide genuine Nissan sway bars designed to maintain factory handling characteristics and cornering stability.

How Sway Bars Minimize Body Lean

Sway bars are steel rods that twist when one wheel compresses more than the opposite wheel. During cornering, weight shifts to the outside wheels and causes the bar to twist. The Nissan Rogue and Nissan Titan use sway bar diameters matched to their weight distribution and performance requirements. This twisting action transfers some load to the inside wheel and reduces lean angle. Rubber bushings secure the bar to the chassis while allowing it to rotate freely. End links connect the bar ends to suspension components on each side of the vehicle.

Why Sway Bar Components Deteriorate

Rubber bushings harden from heat and age until they crack and lose grip on the bar. The bushings allow excessive bar movement and create clunking noises over bumps. End link ball joints develop wear and play that reduces bar effectiveness. Corrosion attacks the steel bar particularly at mounting points and stress areas. Cheap aftermarket bushings use harder rubber that wears quickly and doesn't provide the same damping properties as genuine parts.

When Components Require Replacement

Replace bushings when you hear clunking or rattling sounds from suspension during turns or rough roads. Excessive body roll during cornering indicates worn sway bar components compromising handling stability. Inspect bushings annually for visible cracking, tearing, or separation from the bar surface that indicates replacement is needed.
